[#3449]

Hello,
I have someone who work on a project "P1" at 100%.
This person have a training for 1.5 days during this project "P1".
Training activity have a higher priority than tasks on P1.
My problem is that I have a message when trying to calculate the planning for the "training" project, saying that activity can't be scheduled.
Indeed this person is planned to work on a tasks on P1 but what I don't understand is that this tasks can start before "training" activity and end after. It seems that planning calculation tool can not interrupt a task for some day to allow another one to be inserted ???
What have I done wrong ?

Thx

Check affectation of resource "Michel" ro project "Formation".
Maybe start or end date of affectation (I would bet on end date before 06/06) forbids planning at the expected date.

Hi Babynus,
unfortunately it does not seem to be this point, Michel is assigned to "formation" between 06 to 07, see below. What am I missing ?

Can you have some tests on affectations :
- remove end date, replan : what is the result ?
- remove start and end date, replan : what is the result ?

Could you also post result of report "Monthly Planning per Resource/Project/Activity" showing planning for Michel ?

THX

I made tests on affectations, ie remove end date for "formation" project (no start or end date on other porject), and now the task is planned but it's not what I want to plan as "formation" is at fixed date (06/07 to 07/07), I want that other task on project "etude carte" start before this "formation" and remaining work end after "fromation".
See below "monthly planning for michel " before test:

Hi,
It' because your tack has no "high" priority.
For instance, if you change planning mode to regular between dates, planning will be better.

But for these kind of "fixed" work, try and directly input real work (in the future). It is the best way to "fix" some work.

Hi Babynus,
The priority between both project was already different (400 for "formation" and 500 for "etude") but with no effect ...
I have modified a lot of things on different projects and now I don't see the pb anymore, could it be because I was only recalculating these 2 projects and now I have recalculate planning for all projects ?
For your recommandation, I'm not sure to understand it? you mean that I have to fill in "work done" in advance ?

HI,
I still cannot reproduce your use case.
Could you try and reproduce on the Demo ?

you mean that I have to fill in "work done" in advance ?

Yes, you enter real work for this "fixed" task, and you're sure it is correct.
