Hi I have managed to create an email template which works when I change the status to Assigned for an Action.
However I would like to show in the in the email the details of the element the action is linked to in this case the activity "project phase" that it needs to be completed by to enable the phase to be finished.
I have tried.
adding "this needs to be completed by the end of phase
${link}
"
Is there a way to do this.

As explained in user manual, you can use ${LINK}
(in uppercase)

I have tried this too, but it just says email is scheduled but never arrives. If I remove the words ${LINK} from the email content, the emails have stopped start arriving. Any clues how to resolve this.
Have a look at "mail" screen (must be connected as admin to see if mail is stored and its content.
Check for any issue looged in log file.
Also check in spam mailbox or try to get smtp error log file to check for any error in mail format.
