Hi
I guess I have the same problem as many others to coordinate teams and track tasks among these teams.
We have a specification team, a back office team, an on board software team and a validation team for the whole product. So we have 4 separate teams. The specification team writes specs. Back office and on board teams develop their part of a function and the validation team validates, discovers bugs, reports them, wait for a correction and validates again. This process is iterative until all bugs are fixed.
We want :
- the specification completion to trigger activities of the back office team (conception, code, unit tests), on board team (the same as back office), the validation (writes tests)
- the development completion to trigger the validation process
- the bug fixes to be carried out in a iterative process and accounted to the epic (timesheet)
- spec updated and accounted to the epic (timesheet)
- to track that the activity on specification, back office and on board to be "fully" completed when the validation is completed.
There is a rather straight forward process at the beginning and a iterative one in the second part of the epic
What would be best practice according to your experience and knowwledge of Projeqtor?
Thank you
Only existing way would be to change responsible and send notification to Responsible.
But I guess what you expect is a bit more complex, some kind of BPM (Business Process Model)
ProjeQtOr workflow does not go up to this automation level.
You can only play with responsible allocation (and define rights so that users only see items there are responsible for)
or with workflow, to change status, then each team know status that they must manage.
Going further would nned to develop your own plugins to manage the automation.
