What is the best way in Projeqtor to track real hours against a "budget" for a project? If I have a T&M project with a budget of, say, 200 man-days, how can I track days consumed, in Projeqtor? And report to the client? I would like to be able to give an early warning if the budgeted days are going to run out before the project ends.
Apologies if this is a stupid question. I have searched through the forum, but cannot find anything relevant.
I think this can be achieved by creating a base-line of the project at the beginning, with the "budget" entered as planned activities
To track real work, you should use the "timesheet" screen.
There every resource enters real work spend, day by day, on each activity, so that you get real vision on real time.
Baseline is not the good solution : it helps you compare initial planning (the baseline) to current one, so that you instantly see late parts.
