I have the structure below (version used 4.2.3):
- Project 1
SubProject 1.1
SubProject 1.2
- Project 2
SubProject 2.1
- Project 3
SubProject 3.1
SubProject 3.2
Each subprojets contains Activities with sometimes real work Allocation.
If I can move the activities easily, is it possible to move the project itself (for example to place Project 3 after Projet 1) ?
Sometimes it works (mostly, it seems to be, when there is no real work allocation)
I made a lot of tests, at the end
- Impossible to move Projet 3
- Activity 2.1.1 is at the correct place in the project and the planning, but in the combobox list when I create the Activity it appears in the project 1 !
Where can I find a real explanation on how to move project, subproject and activities ?

what do you mean : error message, or else.
Please report any message or error reported in the log file

Maybe it was moved before V4.2 (there was some issue in WBS calculation). Could you try to move it twice (into another palce and back to its own place) ?

It works ! But version version 4.2 was never installed, I installed the version 4.2.3 directly.
I found the origine of the problem.
If I move the entire projet 3 to place it before project2, it works everywhere (screens Project and planning, all the wbs are correct) ... but in the combobox list when I create a new activity all the subprojects of Project2 are in Project3 and vice versa.

The original structure is :
P1
SP1.1
SP1.2
P2
SP2.1
SP2.2
P3
SP3.1
At this state all is allright everywhere.
In the planning I move P3 under P1.
We have then :
P1 and is subproject
P3 and is subproject
P2 and is subproject
In the project screen all is the same.
All wbs are correct.
The problem :
I create a new activity.
I choose the concerned project.
The list of the existing project are not in the same wbs order
P1 ok
P3
SP2.1
SP2.2
P2
SP3.1
The subproject of P2 are in P3 and vice versa, but only in the screen activity.
