[#3477]

I've heard rumours (don't yet know if they are valid :)) that PostGreSql might provide improvements compared to MySQL on an application such as Projeqtor, when the DB grows in size.
1- Are there any opinions or feedback on that in the Projeqtor community ?
2- Would it be straigthforward to migrate an existing Projeqtor MySql DB to PostGreSql ?

Regards

Hi,

It used to be true with oldest version of MySql.
Now MySql has grown up and I don't think difference may be important, moreover with ProjeQtOr volumetrics.
Maybe with billions of records on tables there may be a difference, but not with tenth or undredth of thouthands.

PostgreSql really get the highest value concerning security.

Yes, that seems to be the most common feedback I'm getting : should not make much of a difference, so probably not worth changing.
Thanks for your feedback, always appreciated ! 🙂
