Hello everyboby, I did a search but I did not find a topic releated to my issue.
Ok, I need to know if there is an option that "automaticaly" keep trace of the work made by resurces.
Exe: I have a miller, he works 8 hours per day. The project he works on last 16 hours. I would like not to update every single day if he has worked on the project but just if the work was done after 16hours. In the same time I would like to see the progress bar of the work constantily updated by the system ,basically after 8 hours the system should say that the project is 50% complete.

I hope to have been clear.

Thanks a lot

Not a trace like history on items, but you can check real work input on screen "real work allocation" and validate work for a given week (this will fix work)

The project he works on last 16 hours

A Project 2 days long : very very small project indeed  . Better manage it as an activity...

I would like not to update every single day if he has worked on the project but just if the work was done after 16hours

Just check the project progress.

In the same time I would like to see the progress bar of the work constantily updated by the system

Just have a look at Gantt planning view 😉

basically after 8 hours the system should say that the project is 50% complete.

It does : it is just called progress
But of course, the resource must enter his real work in the tool, and possibly re-evaluate left work : the tool will not guess and read on one's mind 👿

Hi,

basically after 8 hours the system should say that the project is 50% complete

may be an important hint for you:

There are two "progress" values:
1. progress = real work / planned work * 100
2. exepected = real work / valided work * 100

Difference is, one is planned progress and validated is progress on approved work/budget.

Regards,

Klaus
