Whenever I create a new activity, at the first save, the Done checkbox is automatically check-marked and the date of creation is marked as the done date/

I tried to reproduce your bug but I can't.
Can you explain with more detail your anomaly or give us a screenShot of your activity with the anomaly .
I've attached two screenshots, one is prior to creating a new activity, the second is right after creation. Done is checked with todays date.
Can you check in " List of values " if you don't have check the case "done status " for the status "recorded" ?
If you chech this case ( see atachment ) you check "done" when you create activity or other with status "recorded" .
