This issue occured on V6.0.0 but is fixed since V6.0.4.

Problem still persists using different Testplans/test case runs.

What was the Problem in Version 6.0.0 maybe we can check if this occured again?

Unfortunately it is a "hidden" issue, that was masked.
But I'm almost sure it works fine now, I just tested again...

First, try and clean browser cache, as some javascrit is involved.... (use browser parameter screen to be sure to clean cache, sometimes F5 is not enough)

If you still reproduce, please try and reproduce on Demo, mayby it's due to some way to do we can't thing about.

after some Tests the Problem still persists. we tried out several test cases and test plans, even newly generated and we tested on different Clients/browser. we have no Chance at all to mark Tests as "success" Problem still persists.

we even updated to the newest Version. in demo everything works as expected.

do you have a clue? its difficult to figure out in fact no logging will be written.

Except a cache issue, I cannot guess what issue is...

What you can possibly try is :
1) test new install and test, with brand new data if issue occurs or not
2) then import your data in this new instance and test again
Give result so we can find out if issue is due to code/config or due to data

ok - i set up a completly new vm with ubuntu LAMP 16.4server - installed projeqtor ProjeQtOr V6.1.0 (160) - chmod and chown the needed Directory. installed mbstring, gd and XML additionally. upgraded database on first Login.

with the completly new empty projeqtor i created an empty Project only named "test" - Content "test". next step was creating a test case only named "test" Project "test" description "test". after that i created a test session, same here: Name: "test", Project "test" description "test". press "save". add the test case after Auto save i click on the green "OK" and then the error appears again "Some field contains invalid data. Please correct first".

the same procedure in demo works without any issues.

maybe a Linux Problem? or a Problem with some rights or configurations?

First, this is not a Linux issue : Demo runs on Linux (Ubuntu).

Then, I tried again, executing your use case step by step, and not produce the isse.
All runs fine for me.
So it is difficult to analyse without reproduction.

Most probable possibility I can imagine is a cache issue.
Please try after completely clearing browser cache (through parameters, not only F5)
Also try with another browser you never used before.

I deleted the whole Cache via Parameters. Still the same issue. We tested on 2 different Laptops and the issue is reproducable. And at last i tested the following browser:

Internet Explorer 11
Google Chrome 56
Firefox 31
Vivaldi 1.7

still the same issue.

are there any needed fields or required data which is mandatory for closing testcases or anything else? maybe some Connections, Parameters or configurations related to Projects or Test Cases which i may have missed?

iam completly clueless :-/ we will run projeqtor in our Company but this seems to be the showstopper.

We'll add some debugging code in patch V6.1.2, to try and have idea of origin of issue.

i chmod and chown rekursive the whole Directory to WWW-data, just for Logical understanding, what happened with the test-cases, which modules or directories are affected? it is Kind a weird because the test Environment works and 2 different Environments in our Company are having some Troubles, i'm trying to figure it out but totally have no clue

ok guess what, i figured out which data was needed for Setting the testrun to "success". he definitly Needs a ticket data. without ticket he is not able to mark the testrun. this is weird because on your demo Version i did not Need any ticket data attached to the testrun.

if i put in an incorrect value in php table for test case runs in the field ticket, he is also able to mark the test case with success. and if i put in a random ticket in projeqtor self, with edit Options, he is too. i thought putting in connected tickets was only needed for failed Tests? otherwise it works on your side without ticket data informations. maybe you have a clue what went wrong in our 2 different projeqtor Environments. on the other completly new desinged appliance ticket-id is needed too for marking testruns "success".

Thanks for the analysis !

In fact, I thing that on Demo the test session is defined on project having some tickets, so ticket list is not empty and ticket is set to first one (but this value is not used on "Passed" case). In your case, Ticket list may be empty, so not defaut value...

We'll fix that !

EDIT : I could reproduce, so now fixing will be easy 😉
