Hi,
It is not concidered as Stable yet, but no major issue has been pointed out yet.
A small patch is under preparation, coming quite soon, but you may use 5.1.0 if you wish (I do so 😉 )

No.
But it is a good practice to always backup your database before technical tasks such as upgrade.
