Hello.
Sorry to bother you, but I've tryed different solution without success.
I've a number of different activities, each one with a requested start date and end date.
The Gantt Chart looks perfect.
BUT
Let's suppose an activity span over 5 days.
After the first day I enter the real work done, let's say, 4h.
Correctly the real start day is fixed to that day.
But why the end date is fixed to the same start day and I cannot move it?
In this way the Gantt Chart after real work input shows every activity that lasts only 1 day.
This is the main issue.
With less priority, when I've validated a real work input with the corresponding push button, is there a way of going back?
In fact if an activity cointains real work already validated (as a mistake), is there a way to delete the activity and recreate it?
Regards.
Rocco.
Sorry, maybe my question was silly or not interesting, but I confirm that every time that I add some real work, the end date will be fixed at the start date ... and I'm stuck there.
Any help?
Regards.

Hi,
Could you send some attachments of your screens ?
Thank you
Thanks Alain.
I have created a user (Carlo Rossi) and a project (A Firmware Project). Inside the project I've created an activity (A Firmware Activity).
Picture shows the activity created.
Note that request start is 01/01/19, request end 31/01/19, no real work inserted.
As you can see in the next picture, the Gantt chart spans from January 1st to January 31st, as it shoud be.
Note that still no real work inserted.
Than in next picture you can see that I've inputed 8h on January 7th.
Correctly Projeqtor automatically moves the real start to January 7th BUT it compiles the real end too, I don't know why ...
After that, obviously, the Gantt chart becomes compressed to a single day, that is not correct.
I show you this here.
And finally in activity you can see the end date compiled too, but I cannot change it.
Shown in this final picture.
Can you help me to understand why it behaves in this way and how to change this?
Regards.
Alain,
I've done a little step forward.
The end date on the real work page moves according to the last insertion. That's clear and good.
But why the planning Gantt change?
I've planned a month for a job, started inserting one day, that's ok, but the Gantt should span a month, as my plan is to finish there.
Or at least it should show both the requested end and the real end.
Is it possible?
Regards.
Hi,
Your issue is because you do not "plan" your project.
You enter requested dates, so projeqtor build (or I should say "draw") a planning with these date.
As long as you enter work, projeqtor expects to build a capacity planning, and so expects some left work.
If you don't have left work, job is considered as finished, so end date is lat date of entered work.
Enter some left work, run planning calculation, then you'll have real planning.
Thanks Babynus.
I've understood and it works.
Great.
