I would like to create a report that shows all data of a kanban board including descriptions etc. The standard reports don't seem suitable for that task. Is it possible to create such a report using the template plugin?

No, this plugin won't help to create report from Kanban boards.
But it will allow to generate reports from list of items that you see on Kanban (Activity, Ticket, Action or Requirement).
