1) Just set planning mode to "fixed duration" for all activities (this can be done through mutiple update mode) and define duration.
2) Define a milestone with mode "fixed milstone", define date for this milstone and set it as predecessor of first(s) task(s).
3) Run planning : you're there ! B)

Another hint : when your template project is OK, define its type to "Template". This way : it will not be visible any more in the planning (as it is not a real project) and it will become visible to all project managers that will be able to copy it. :woohoo:

As you guessed it, Origin is only an informative data, without any efect on the planning.
You can avoid adding Origin, just unchecking corresponding checkbox when copying 😉

Regarding the template mode, I deleted all "projects types" and I kept only "OPE" code.

Now I am trying to re-create a type "TMP" but even as an admin I can't anymore. (gray field)
I would like also to try to manage my project with "ADM" type, which sound a lot easier regarding resource assignments.
(because, this function still a bit foggy for me)

If you directly updated Database, you'll have ot do the same : insert newlines directly in Database (or insert new one with other code, and change code in database afterwards)

I found it! and modified the type. You were right of course, I didn't delete the TMP & ADM by default. I just closed them (this is the reason 🙂 ).

So I tried the type ADM on one of my project. And the project doesn't appear in planning anymore.

What I would like to do is to simply assign activities to resources. And without going trough "real work allocation" or any actions from the resources. To get the resource planning generated.

Because as far I understood, OPE type, the resources need to go to "Real work allocation" assign days or hours (I believe is day=resource capacity, but why isn't it a tick box) on days of the current week. And once he validate the work, the resource will appear in "Resource planning". So I would like to skip this.

Is it possible?

This is expected behavior.
AMD (administrative) and TMP (template) project are not suposed to be planned.

What I would like to do is to simply assign activities to resources. And without going trough "real work allocation" or any actions from the resources. To get the resource planning generated.

ADM projects are not planned. Only real work is entered(it is what they are done for).
You can use Activities screen to create assignment to resources, but :
1) you would have to affect resource to project before
2) you really don't need this because it is not how ADM projects work.

Is it possible to have the same behavior as "OPE", Except the fact when someone allocate some tasks to a resource, it is count as "real work allocation" automatically without any confirmation of the resources.

This is completely opposit to ProjeQtOr philisophy.
