In some cases we use the Calendar to mark planned absences for resources or teams.
It would be handy to handle half-day absences in the calendar for this.
If it's complicated, maybe not worth it, but an option could be to use: first click -> mark as off day, second click -> mark as half day off, thirs click -> back to working day.

it would be great if this feature was available.
We have some days (especially christmas and new year), where we only have half-working-days.For leave-times, -management and their calculation it would be perfect to have the option of setting whole or half day as off.

You can do this through "Absence" screen.
This should be done for each resource, but it works great.
