Make it so when staff actually use the projeqtor system, little pictures of kittens pop up and they get to pet them. Or maybe each computer has a gumball machine attached to it so when staff close tickets a gumball pops out.
This software could revolutionize the way our office does business, but will be worth nothing if lazy staff don't use it. How to motivate??
The most important to motivate your team is that you take the lead.
And your first action should be to stop smoking the carpet (talking nonsense). 👿
No kitten needed : just a process to set-up, and set it mandatory.
Everybody has the habbit to registed time.
ProjeQtOr can be one of the way to do it.
But you call also use it to challenge team members.
For instance, you can extract resource who treated most tickets in the week : employee of the week :woohoo:
If you really have to motivate your team, you can also thing of a bonus... :silly:
But in the end, I shoud not convince you to use a PM Tool : if you are not convinced you need one and you much teach your team to use it, I cannoy help you much 🙁
I only can convince you that ProjeQtOr is the PM tool youu need B)
Reminds me of a nice quote, concerning making people change their habits :
"it's like moving a graveyard - you don't get much help from the occupants..." 😛
If it's any consolation, in my company we also had (and still have...) quite a job to convince people to change their habits and adopt Projeqtor. I think the best argument has been : what's the alternative ? If it involves an expensive tool do do one small part of what Projeqtor does, and then requires several different Excel files to manually track everything else.... well then I say Projeqtor is a nice answer ! 🙂
