In the actual implementation of ProjeQtOr it is possible to do the PERT-Scheduling,Gant-Scheduling (or Termination http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Program_evaluation_and_review_technique) by entering the relevant dates in the form of dd/mm/yyyy.
The question is if it possible to enter the to be calculated start-/end-dates of the activities in a higher precision like dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm or even dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss and then do the Gant- or PERT-Scheduling of the start-/end-dates of the projectactivities where the project system ProjeQtOr would schedule/terminate all activities in the entered precision.
In the best case that would mean that all project- and activitiesdates as well as all durations within a project could be scheduled accurate to the second. :woohoo:

Thank you. 🙂

First, there is not PERT in ProjeQtOr, only Gantt.

Second, when you plan in ProjeQtOr, you don't enter start/end dates : this would be just to draw a Gantt. I ProjeQtOr, you define constarint for the tasks : assigned resource, work assigned, dependencies, priorities, rates, ... and ProjeQtOr calculates planning taking into account all the constraints, on all the projects.

There is abolutely NO interest to display start/end with Seconds acuracy...We are dealing with Project Management, not launching a rocket.
Internally, ProjeQtOr manages start/end with minutes accuracy, but it's not dislayed.

More detailed planning would be also applicable in event planning like concerts. As long as no one needs this it is of course makes no sense.

Thank you. 🙂
