No, basis on Project order is "sort by wbs".
This is the only way to have sorting that fits projets / subprojects constraints.
If you need to have projects sorted on name, just re-order them in planning view, so that wbs fits your needs.

The only real issue is that most lists are flat (not presenting sub-project level).
This could be an improvement.

In planning view I can re-order subprojects but not the large list of projects unfortunately.
It will be good to have but if it too much then we can live with that

Really, you CAN re order projects in planning view.
It is easy, moreover if can shrink all the expanded projects (using the - button)

woua, I don't know this feature! Good, but be carfull because the sub (activity) don't follow the project, then the display si strange project at top and task in other project.

I still think you need to add option for projects sort order. There is nothing complicated - this is just a standard graph tree walk: if project has parent (so it sub-project)then it will be ordered within sub-projects for this parent (project)

What do you mean ?
It is what is existing ...
You define parent, then you can sort within same parent sub-projects.
It is what is displayed in Planning view (Gantt chart), in Project selector list (top left list) and in real work allocation.
Do you expect something else ?

Hierarchy between projects and sub-projects is respected, but not wbs order inside a sub-project list.
