Situation:
After changing a record, but not saved so far you are able to select other record from list above. If you didn't save changed recorde, there is a question "Ongoing change are not saved. If you continue, you will loose this changes. Do you realy want to continue ?"
Request:
Simplify process. This question could be changed to "Ongoing change are not saved. Do you want to save now? If NO, you will loose this changes." Then query should save on "YES" and quit change on "NO".
Advantage:
You save on step and increase process safeness.
Request registered.
I will study the request, but I'm not sure it will increase process safeness :
- as described, you would not be able to cancel quitting without saving : what if your input is not complete ?
- how should application react in cas or on error or incorrect control on saving ?
Not simple...
