[#1944]

I am evaluating Projeqtor. It will be used in a mixed USA/EU environment. Therefor it is mandatory that the date can be displayed and entered as yyyy-mm-dd (ISO-8601). If not, there will be an eternal discussion between team member if 7/6/2014 means July 6 or June 7.

I have not found a setting for this. Can it be adjusted?

No, display date depends on Browser locale.
It is managed by Dojo Framework.

It could be an improvement to force format...

I agree that forcing the date format would be a huge improvement.
Frankly I don't understand why it should be linked in any way to a browser's or machine's language setting. When I am using English language for applications, that does not imply that I want to use American date or time format.

I had instantly the same problem: date & time formats.
The date and time format should be a user preference, like the language.
It is illusory to assume that because one lives in a certain area or prefers a certain language or has a browser with a certain locale, then therefore the formats should be linked to that.
I chose Projeqtor because it is completely web based and under my control on my server. That has the enormous advantage that I can use it no matter where I am or whose machine I am using. But it would be / is very upsetting that the format depends not on my login, but on the place where I am and the browser I'm using.
I'm sure I will make errors with possibly important consequences if these formats change depending on the place and browser.
It's rather easy to correct this I'm sure!
