Hello,

activity stream is a great tool to follow activity on project but it will be fine if all activities can be displayed for sub-elements too.

ie : if i take a look to activity stream for a project, i can only view notes on project element. So, in the life of project, most of notes are posted on activity, tasks, risks, expenses... and not on project.
So, if activity stream for project include activity for sub-elements, i can get a real overview on my project.

Expect to be clear.

Regards,

Perhaps could be done with extending filter criteria in activity stream screen (for exemple, selecting multiple type as activity, expenses, task and risks and having a filter like in project screen) ?

Hi,

Just do not select filter, just select Project in the project selector : this will restrict the activity screen items to items of this project.

In fact, not so simple.
using project filter, some other elemnts remains visible (ex : notes on budget, expenses (other than those linked to project, ...).
See bellow, items framed in red aren't linked to project, so activity flow doesn't show real activity for project.

I think it need the hability to select more than one type of element (for exemple keeping Project, Activity, Task and expense will give a good visibility on project).
perhaps it could be done with multi-selecting element filter rather than mono-selecting.

I think the most accurate is to hide not project dependant items when a project is selected...
