until the V12, we've got strange automatism.
by the pass we've got a project template who can close some sub activities with work left.
When the left work done and put to 0, the activities gone to Done status.
when all activities were on done status, there automatically put the parent activity on done, and foward an email to specific member of the project team.
now, the activities are going to done status even if there some left work on it. (we do not have change this option on type of activity)

When do you change the status of the parent activity? With the imputations? by changing the status directly?
Could you attach the ProjeQtOr logs, or even those of the browser console and a capture of the message, the steps... all things that can help us understand.
when the imputations pass the activity to 0 hours of remaining to do, it passes to done.
if, for example, 3 activities (13861, 13862,13863) under the same parent activity (13860) are passed to "done", then the parent activity also passes to "done", except that it should not, because this parent activity (13859) has remaining to do (0.5h left)....
