HI,
ProjeQtOr v11.2, database postgresql
Deleting old hollidays and adding new, deletes old but doesn't add new ones.

what absence system do you use? the classic or the HR module?
From which screen do you delete absences? Do you enter new absences from the same screen?
Are there any errors in the logs? in the browser console?
