What you want is not possible.
Password is initialize and stored in a non secured way (to be able to read it and send it by mail to the user).
So it is mandatory to request the change the password to store it in a highly secured way.

Only option would be to connect to LDAP so that users use their LDAP account and password.

Exactly, I'm using SAML for authentication, that's why I want to disable this option.

If you use SAML SSO, users won't see login page, so won't have to change password.

There may be an issue.
Users who don't have a password are requested for password change, even if connected through SSO.
We'll fix this

Similar, if you use API and never login via web page you will also no prompt to change/set password.
