Hi there,
While adding new Leave period, Start date not considered in count of leave days in HR module > Leave periods.
Please refer attachment for more reference.

Leave count is show 1 less because it was holiday marked in calendar for 8th march, but I think It should be given alert when input date that it is an off day or holiday so one can not get confusion.
