You don't have to change model/Parameter.php file which is part of community code and will be overwrfitten at each migration
You need to change you parametering file, that is stored at setup and never overwritten.
Default location is files/config/parameters.php, but may be (and should be for security reason) changed at setup.
You'll find location in tool/parametersLocation.php
