Our language uses accents and the application does not play well with them, since after saving the word in a project for instance, when I got back to that project the accented characters where substituted by different characters.

Hi,
It is most probably a configuration error of your Database : it must be set to UTF-8 format.
Search for UTF-8 in the forum, you'll find configuration hints.
NB : you can try on the Demo : accentuated characters work fine, and even more complicated alphabets (chineese, arabian, cyrilic)
