I’m setting up a project in ProjeQtOr and would like to confirm if the critical path is being calculated correctly based on my current setup.
Here’s what I’ve done:
- Work-Packages: Entered all work-packages with appropriate dependencies (e.g., Finish-to-Start, Start-to-Start).
- Milestones:
- Project Start: Set as the predecessor for the very first work-package.
- Project Finish: Set as the successor for several terminal work-packages that have no tasks following them. I’ve attached a screenshot of the Gantt chart with the “Show Critical Path” option enabled.

It's hard to know without having access to your data since it's a critical chain. Whatever happens, it's better that you do a quick update to the latest stable version.
First, because we only take into account the latest version to help you on the forum and second, since version 10.3 there have been a lot of bug fixes and new features like on the critical path precisely!
My university has set up ProjeQtOr and hosts it, allowing us to access it via a provided link. I have previously explored installing it myself and believe I can make my computer the local host. Apologies if my terminology is not accurate. To get the latest version, I will need to install it myself since I cannot dictate my university’s decisions. When I do this, I would be happy to export my project file (if possible) and share it with you so you can review the data and identify any obvious mistakes?
Great idea! With a Wamp-like server you will be free to follow us at the pace of our new versions and discover our latest features! and you will already be able to see if your critical path still displays the same result!
