[#1085]

Hi,

I am new to Project'Or Ria and have been testing this for last two weeks. So far am very impressed with the features.

Only one issue that I have is that it takes 25 to 30 seconds for the server to send emails. I have tried using the sendmail server, using an external host and also using exchange server smtp (internal) with the same result.

Would you have a solution to how to speed up when system sends emails. Saving and making changes are quick and effortless.

Any help is appreciated.

Harvey

Hi,

This can happen when calling a remote server.
I faced this using smtp.free.fr, but with shorter delays : about 5s only.

The only way to speed up emails is to find a quicket smtp server.
On linux distribs, defaut sendMail works quite well.
No other solution exists today.
Sorry.

Maybe an improvement could be added to send emails in a asynchronous mode, but it's not a priority evolution.
I registered the resuest as Ticket #1050.

Found the issue.

Sendmail requires a fully qualified domain name and we had a small typo in the host file. Corrected this and emails are being sent without any delay.

Thanks.

Hi timoumi,

may be you will find in manual - global parameters - page 4/5 and 5/5 what you need.

Regards,

Klaus
