No, there is no configuration for mails on Leave System
(well, in fact the configuration used to exists, designed by contributor who built the HR module, but mailing system was not active so we hid it) 

As I configured it in a previous version, we still receive some emails, but the information inside is not enough, from our point of view, that's why I was trying to create and email on event over those elements.

Is this something planned to be managed in the future?

I've installed the version10.1.2 and now we receive emails, it's great!

Nevertheless, I don't have the possibility to set the rejected area :
 

And just another thing : Is there a way to change the message template? Where is it configured?

In fact, the table is adapted only to default workflow.
As you added a status in the Leave workflow, table is not correct.
In fact, it is the notifiction for "re-opened" that you cannot define...
