I'm facing with the following.
I don't know how to manage de rate % on project. I explain my situation.
My ressources are assigned to several project on parralel. Sometimes they need to work with 20 % rate on period, and sometimes they need to work at 100 % rate of times on period.
I don't exactly how to manage this situation regarding the rate for project and the rate on task.
Do I need to put 0% on project rate %, and manage only the rate % on activties ?

You assign your resource to 20% on the project and you assign it to 100% on your activity if you want your resource not to be able to work more than 20% of that capacity on this project.
If you want her to be able to work up to 100% of her capacity on the project, you assign her 100% on the project, and you create your assignments for this resource at 20% on the activity.

YES: You can use the rate on allocution on project and dedicated periods on project when you trig the dedicated pop up managing the calculation as expected :
BUT BE AWARE : it is not compulsory to reach automaticcaly thoses results. Rate means the value that could be planed as max for the resource weekly ( same reasoning with the rate on FTE per day on assignement on activity), They are max which can never be exceeded also it is not an obligation to reach those max planifying.
The result of resources planification on a single project will depend on ALL constraints you gived OVER ALL projects . If the result is not as wished, you work starts reorganizing workloads and priorities.
