Hello, 

Manual progress is entered in the processing tab in the management section. You have a progress field that you can modify manually and this on activities in "fixed duration" planning mode.

The box you check "fix the planning" prevents any changes to your activity. Whether it's in the treatment or advancement section. It is never recalculated. Read the tooltips carefully when in doubt.

As for the technical progress, it is to follow the progress of your work units. Fill in a catalog beforehand... nothing to do with what you want to do.

Just in case, the manual is accessible from your session by pressing F1

1) Therefore I just have to consider the Progress Tab / Steering section and set the activity to fixed duration. And it should work with "fixed planning" and non "fixed planning" activities and with  "fixed planning" and non "fixed planning" projects
Is my understanding correct ?
2) Thanks to your help, I have now a correct progress bar for the activity, with progress set manually.
PROBLEM: no effect on the parent activity (which is a phase), and no effect on the project progress.

To get Manual Progress, you must 
 - activate the option in global parameters
 - set planning mode a "fixed duration"
 - not add assignments
 - add validated work to the activity
Then progress can be manually entered
Then progress is displayed on bar.
Then progress is consolidated to parent (validated work is then used to get the "weight" of the sub-activities)
