i have defined email sent for the Event "Note add". I have also switched on the notification System and i have started the Cron (see attachments)
But i get no mail when i add note in the activity. MAil sending works fine (manually sending or Status Change)

You configured to send email to project manager.
Does the project or the updated item have a manager (this data is optional) ?
Does this manager have an email address ?
i have found it. the notes i have inserted where Private, if i insert the notes public i get a email
