Question from one of my users : is it possible to log work both on a Ticket and also separately on the linked Planning Activity ?

Scenario:
- Create a ticket T , linked to planning activity A
- User U is assigned to activity A 
- User logs work on ticket T for 1 day => work is consolidated on activity A
- User also wants to log work directly on activity A 
=> is this allowed ? 

I always try to separate work logged using tickets and work logged directly on an Activity, because it's much simpler to check data that way.
So I don't know really if it is possible to combine both logging work via Ticket and directly on Activity ?
