[#4228]

Hi every body, and especially Babynus,

We would like to show an S Curve indicator, but only for project milestones.

Should it be possible to have option in this reports to show S Curve for activity only , activity and milestone (like it's done today, if i'm right) or milestone only.

we have 45° curve for milestone, it should be great to have the same for S Curve.

Thank's a lot, and a big thank's for your job.

S Curve indicator, but only for project milestones

I really don't understand what you try to get.
S-Curve is a work beased curve (progress on how work will be used).
And milestones have no work....
So for me S-Curve on Milstones means nothing.

I babynus,

i would like to get milestone progress. In fact for a project wich contains lot of sub-project there are lot's of milestone, milestone which could have the same name, for example.

the 45° curve is not usable when you have more than 10 milestone.

So, I would like to see milestone progress Using the S Curve indicator, bases not on work, but on mile stone status.

at the begining of the projet mile have validated date, you could used these date in a recorded planing, and compare this with the real milestone status and date.

is it clear .... The main différence of activity S Curve is that the weight of each milestone is the identical, it's not the case for work.

I still don't agree with you : S-curve cannot be used for milestones.

S-Curve shows how work is done (or palnned to be done), day by day.
As milstones have no work, S-Curve for milesotnes means nothing.

I guess what you request is similar to "remaining activities" in "burndown chart" but for milestones and the other way round ("done milstones")
Is that it ?

Ok,

I understand what you mean. In fact, your right, the need is similar to "Burndown chart", but not for activity but fot milestone.

Why, i talked about S Curve, it's because the milestone validation progression as a fonction of time looks like an S Curve, that's all.

The need is to anticipate time lag by analyzing milestone progress.

Thank's for everythings.
