When selecting a project in the report "parameters" form, it would save time if the selected project could be saved for the next requests (instead of being set to the currently selected project in the top level project filter), at least for the current user session.

If you want the same project in all form requests. Why not directly change project in the top level project filter ?
You will have the expected result.
It's definitely possible that way. The evolution would simply be automation : a way to save the user from manually doing that action.
The saved parameter could be reset if the project selector is updated by the user.
Anyway, definitely not mandatory, just a thought 🙂
