Create a new contexts type icone doesn't work
Hi hbastet,
currently only three context types possible. But you can play around with contexts, which are more or less a second level context. This could be extened as you may desire.
Klaus
Thank you for your answer.
This is on my opinion a problem: I intended to use the types of contexts to define the departments of the company:
- Accounting
- Rental management
- Technical management
- Administration ...
With each context types matches a specific context
ex for technical management
- external Request for intervention
- Routine maintenance
- Structural maintenance
- Rehabilitation ...
This allows to make filters to see all projects for a department. An the department can focus only on his own project...
Why not to use team for that?
Hi,
If what you need is a structured visibility, why not use structure of projects ?
Advice :
- define new project type "Structure"
- Create Project "Accounting", type "Structure"
- ...
- Create Project "Technical management", type "Structure"
- Create Project "external Request for intervention", type "Structure", sub-project of "Technical management"
- and so on...
Then, when you create a project, you just define it as sub-project of your structure.
This will ease access and visibility :
- just select a structure project in project selector to see the projects of the structure
- just affect resources to a structure project to give them access to all the projects of the structure
- you will be able to get reports for all the projects of a given structure
I thing this will best fit your need.
Regards.
