Hi,
I have this issue (maybe i'm wrong on the way to do) ?) :
Context :

  • most people works by default 7 jours a day, 5 days a week
  • One of my french resource works 8 jours a day 4 days a week
  • Canadian resources works 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Parameters :

  • global parameter number of hours per day : 7
  • Resource parameter max daily work : 10 (max possible)

Issue :

  • As its normal day is 8 hours, when there is an absence, i would like to enter 8 hours of absence. The module raise an error : # hours exceed the parameter  number of hours per day.

Tests :
I tried to put 8 hours max per day, but if I do that, people entering their timesheet with a 7 hors long day does not have the green color to confirm their day is complete.

questions : is it possible to have a day duration per resource ? ou per organization ?
Do you have any recommandation for my situation ?

Thank !

You should define hours per day as max for every resource.
You can also arbitrary set it to 10. This will ease following.
With 10 H / day, resources working 7 hours per day should have capacity of 0.7, resources working 8 hours per day should have capacity of 0.8.
That's all.
