Hello,

I see it as a bug, but let me know if I am wrong : the planned date of a deliverable is only updated when associated with a milestone, not when the planning changes the date of the milestone. As a consequence, the planned date of the deliverables are very complicated to use (they are wrong most of the time).

Actually, from my experience, the expected behavior would be :
- if the milestone is a fixed one : the milestone forces the 'due date' of the deliverable, the planned date is what the project manager actually expects to happen.
- if the milestone is a floating one : the deliverable is a predecessor of the milestone, in this case the due date of the deliverable is the validated date of the milestone.

my 2 cents 🙂

Which version are you using ?
I thought this issue was fixed on V8.1.1

Hi,

I cannot reproduce.
It works fine (as expected) for me.

I have a plannig with a milestone

I linkk a deliverable to the milestone : planned due date fits milestone planned date

I change data to indirectly change milstone planned date :

Due date of deliverable has been updated to fit milestone planned date

Could you please try and reproduce on Demo ?

Hello,

it works, I wrote too fast when answering before 😳
I had the problem with 8.0.6 and wrote the message as I was updating our version to 8.1.8 (actually, when I wrote the message, I had a test version in 8.1.8 and a production version in 8.0.6 ... and I did not perform the test in the good window).

I am really sorry, all my apologies. 🙁
